It's certainly not the same costume we were so proud to wear over 40 years
ago, but then the target market isn't the same either. Here's a link to
some photos and articles about the new costumes.
It's been 45 years since the first club opened, and 50 years since the magazine
started. I don't look the same as I did back then, either. Neither does Hef
(although the pajama top looks about the same, don't you think?).
Cavalli's
design has a more rounded "bosom" which actually I prefer to those "shot in
the back with rockets" versions. Looking at those adorable young girls in their
cute new little Bunny suits brings back many happy memories. I hope they fare
as well as we all did. The expectations of the "Bunnies" may be quite different
today than it was then.
We shall wait and see.
